Interactive poetry workshop with Colin McGuire

In partnership with Scottish Book Trust, Pride House Glasgow brings you a spoken word performance by Colin McGuire, followed by an interactive poetry workshop.

A unique opportunity to engage with an experienced, published poet who has performed in countless poetry, cabarets and slam performances across the UK.

Let Colin guide your writing though an exploration of themes such as masculinity, the body and sexuality within a sport setting.

Colin McGuire is a poet and performer from Glasgow who has built a reputation as a dynamic, engaging performer and poet. He is the author of three collections Everybody lie down and no one gets hurt (Red Squirrel Press 2013) and As I sit quietly, I begin to smell burning (Red Squirrel Press 2014). He has just released a new collection ‘Enhanced fool disclosure’ with Glasgow based publisher Speculative Books and won the 2018 Out:Spoken award for poetry in film and poetry.
