LGBTQI Rights (& Wrongs) and Future Global Sports Events

As awareness of LGBTQI inclusion in sport gathers momentum in the UK, Australia and North America and as more elite sports men & women are open about their sexual orientation, we debate the future of mega sports events and LGBTQI human rights. Should we license events in countries hostile to LGBTQI inclusion? Should Pride Houses be a mandatory requirement at every global event? Is enough being done by international sports bodies to tackle discrimination against LGBTQI people? How do the issues differ for athletes and their supporters? Come and listen to the debate and ask some of your own questions from our panel.
Discussion hosted by Lou Englefield, Director of Pride Sports (UK). Confirmed panellists include: Ian Braid, CEO of British Athletes Commission; Claire Harvey, Paralympian; Hugh Torrance, Chair of LEAP Sports Scotland; Patrick Harvie MSP, Co-Convenor of the Scottish Green Party; other panellists TBC.
